OYSTER EXPERIENCE
Seafood is central to the local cuisine. Fishing villages are dotted along the peninsula's Adriatic coastline, and these are abuzz early every morning, as the fishermen come in with the overnight catch. There are, not suprisingly, a host of fantastic restaurants embracing the Sea-to-Table way of life.
If you are a fellow oyster or shellfish lover, then you also have the opportunity to get closer to the action, and experience a working oyster farm right on Istria's Limski Kanal.
Oyster Shack Experience
It doesn't get any fresher than this!
One of the highlights of our summers in Istria is time spent with Tony at his Oyster Shack on the Limski Fjord.
Oysters, clams and mussels to die for, served up right on the banks of the Limski Kanal by a master-shucker! Sample the bounty of the Adriatic in stunning scenery, accompanied by Tony's favourite 80's tunes and a glass of local malvazija! Heaven!
